Bodysurf Thousand Steps Beach

Orange County Thousand Steps Beach

Added by Kat Carney

Easy beach access and blue see-through waves with small crowds in the off season. This is a huge beach with the potential for wildlife spotting.

Park at the intersection of Highway 1 and 9th Ave in Laguna Beach. Walk down the steps—there are more like 300 than 1000—and once you hit the beach, head south.

When the tide is low, you can walk through a cave and on the other side you will find a couple of shallow pools where you can swim and check out the sea life.

Directions to get here are pretty straight forward via the map. You park your car in a residential neighborhood along the street, and from there, you can't miss the entrance.
