Kayak Put-in-Bay
Put-in-Bay, Ohio
Description
Added by Andrew Bidwell
Scenic kayak run around Gibraltar Island in Put in Bay.
This is a fun, short trip. Could be completed in about 30 minutes and rentals are available if you cannot supply your own kayaks. The island is small, with adequate cliffs. It has littered the water around it with fallen boulders and rocks. Best done at sunset, as the reflection of the sun off the water makes the rocks and cliff faces seem to glow. It is an easy and beautiful trip, but can be a little difficult at times maneuvering through the rocks if there is a bigger surf. Also a few areas off the rocks to cliff jump, but be sure to test the depth first for it is rather shallow in places.

Kayak Put-in-Bay Reviews
The Lake Erie islands are unlike anything else up north. With put-in-bay being the main focal point. There's a reason put-in-bay is considered the key west of the north
