Are you looking for one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Northeast Ohio? Look no further-- Blue Hen Falls is known to be one of the prettiest waterfalls in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Within Cuyahoga Valley National Park lies an amazing little waterfall known as Blue Hen Falls. There are few parking spots at the given address but there is an overflow lot right across the street. After parking you will descend down a semi steep hill and arrive at a bridge. Once you cross the bridge you will see to your left a trial that leads to the Buckeye Trail and to your right the falls. Turn right and you will arrive at a wooden fence that lines the edge of the small gorge that the waterfall flows into. From the fence you can see the spectacular views of the falls. At this location there are a couple of chairs to relax among the peaceful sounds of the Blue Hen Falls and wildlife nearby. (The more adventurous can easily walk to the around the "L" shaped fence and get closer to the falls for great picture opportunities... WARNING the rocks nearing the falls are slippery!)

The trail is closed for a major upgrade. https://www.nps.gov/cuva/learn/news/cuyahoga-valley-national-park-to-temporarily-close-buckeye-trail-section-and-blue-hen-falls.htm

This trail is a great way to see a beautiful waterfall. Start at the park's visitor center, which is really nice and worth a stop. Then you'll hike 1.5 miles one way through the forest to the falls. I gave the trail 4 starts because I did this trail after a rain storm, and the trail was extremely muddy.

I wasn't expecting the falls to be as pretty as they are. Thankfully, numerous thunderstorms had rolled through earlier in the day so there was plenty of water for photos. The hike is easy and the view is impressive!

My friends and I stayed here for a few hours and just enjoyed the water. We went in barefoot but I wouldn't recommend it because you can cut your toes like we did! There are larger rocks that we sat on to enjoy our lunch. I can't wait to go back!
