Hike to a beautiful waterfall that is 150 feet tall
The hike to Tom's Creek Falls is a short but enjoyable hike right off the side of the road. The hike is on a wide and mostly flat gravel road that goes right up to the waterfall and a viewing platform that makes for a perfect place for pictures. This hike is a great hike for families and young kids. The road to get to the falls trailhead is a small gravel and paved road. There is no hiking to the top of the falls because it would be too dangerous. Do not try to hike to the bottom of the falls because it is too slippery. In the area there are other small hikes to do and the blue ridge parkway is nearby too.

Reviews
My husband and I took our two small children on this hike, ages 9 and 2, and they both thoroughly enjoyed it! It was beautiful and easily accessible, definitely appropriate for a family hike.
