This hike is a combo of different trails that run between the community center and the OWASA Access Trail, a trail connecting UNC to the NCBG (NC Botanical Gardens). Sections are very well maintained while others follow the natural landscape with many roots and rocks. Overall conditikns are great. The trail runs through dense forest with excellent shade and cooler temperatures making it a great summer hike for high temperature days.

Lower Booker Creek Trail

One of the many Greenway trails in Chapel Hill. Dog friendly but no stations with bags or trash cans; so, come prepared with your own if you bring the dogs along! Its mostly shaded with the initial stretch from Eastgate Crossing shopping area being out in the open. The full trail is concrete keeping it a little cooler in the hot months.
