Hike to Devils Punchbowl Falls, Arthur's Pass
New Zealand › Devils Punchbowl Trailhead
Added by Joshua Small
Beautiful walk through New Zealand bush to a fantastic waterfall.
An awesome 1 hr return walk in natural New Zealand bush. At the apex of the track is the fantastic Devils Punchbowl Falls with water constantly plummeting 131 metres off of the edge of the hill face above which can be seen from the main road through Arthur's Pass. Very well signed and easy to find, an adventure for everyone visiting the area.
Essentials for this trip include:
- Food and water
- Warm clothes in colder months from march through til september as the weather can be unpredictable in the area.
- Map, visit the Arthurs Pass information centre to learn more about the area.
- Good company, bringing a friend or two or ten can make the trip even better!
