Cool off in Lake George. Enjoy a short walk to this perfect swimming spot with amazing views.
The parking lot is located on Shelving Rock Road a few minutes down the road from the trail head to Shelving Rock Mountain. The parking is on the left and the trail is located in the middle of the parking lot. The trail is unmarked but easy to follow.
Follow the trail down to the lake for approximately 0.3 miles. Here you will reach the lake with a choice of left or right. To reach the swimming area take a right. The trail stays close to the shoreline. Another 0.2 miles will take you to the point. This area has some small cliffs for jumping as well as a great point to catch the sunset.
This is a day use area only and can sometimes be heavily populated. Please do your part and always remember to leave no trace.
