Photograph Manhattan Bridge from Washington Street NYC

Added by Allison Foyles

Take top-notch photos of one of the most iconic viewing spots in New York City of The Manhattan Bridge.

Located in DUMBO this is seen as one of of the prime photography spots in NYC for good reason. Off the intersection of Washington Street and Water Street is a perfect view of the Manhattan Bridge sandwiched between two buildings. If you want to take it one step further you are able to get a closer view of the bridge at Main Street Park (Found at the end of Washington Street).

Parking here is difficult considering it is a very popular spot - but not impossible with a little patience. I found it much easier to get here by the transit. There is a metro station less than half a mile away and plenty of bus stations nearby as well.

One of those places you have seen the photos, and you want to see for yourself and capture your own image. It's a worthwhile visit, but like most of NYC, has the potential to be crowded.

Swamped with tourist

Great shot, with the Empire State building in the backgrounders, but its always swamped with tourists/photo shoots. If you can get there and have less people, go, but otherwise... skip it.

Iconic view, great neighborhood to walk and get some food. But be careful if you're standing in the middle of the street, you need to keep an eye out for cars. And trust me, you won't be the only one in the street :)

Photograph and then walk around the area!

This is a famous photograph in the City - after you snap your pictures, walk around the area and take in the full glory of the neighborhood!

stood there more than once and stared with awe and almost reverence at where I was (personal) and what I was looking at.

These splendid photo images are so enriching. One stares in awe... the heart beats just a little stronger and then a mindful moment in the world's most marvelous places. The spirit is exhilarated and refreshed. Then one is more ready for the mundane but necessary stuff of life.
