Sunset Picnic at Brooklyn Bridge Park

Added by The Outbound Collective

Gorgeous views of Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan skyline, and New York Harbor. Large lawn to lay out. Numerous recreational facilities.

The Brooklyn Bridge Park spans over a mile of waterfront and is an awesome location for being active or just relaxing outdoors without leaving the city. There is a ton of grassy space to set up a picnic and watch the sunset and many other options for fun - basketball courts, a carousel, roller skating rink and playgrounds. There are concession stands throughout the park and lots of great restaurants just outside the park. Grab a pizza down the street at Grimaldi's and bring it to the park for an easy and tasty picnic.

Check out the park's website for more information on facilities and upcoming events.

Classic View of Manhattan Skyline

What you see is what you get - and what you get is one staggering view of NYC! I recently visited the park during a blizzard and loved it. It isn't much of an outdoor adventure, but definitely worth seeing!
