About this place

Added by Brian Maley

The Six Mile Creek Natural Area which is adjacent to the City of Ithaca, is over 100 acres of incredibly diverse natural beauty. The preserve encompasses two reservoirs that supply drinking water to the city, miles of trail, pristine examples of Northern Hardwood forest, wildlife, and waterfalls.

The East Ithaca Recreational Walkway, which traverses the Six Mile Creek Natural Area, can be accessed at the parking areas on Burns Rd. or Coddington Rd. The walkway, which used to be a railroad, runs flat and straight from East to West. From the walkway, other smaller trails can be accessed that lead further into different parts of the preserve, and are marked with different colored blazes.

Cliff Jumping
Awesome place to go cliff jumping although be careful as the local authorities aren't too fond of this!
