Catch a sunset over the hills of Santa Fe

When the clouds are out in the desert, you know that means big colors are just around the corner.
People come from all over the world to see sunsets in the southwest. This is a great little spot tucked away in a neighborhood I stayed in for a month.
On Rodriguez street, there is a parking space for "visitors" of a particular house in the neighborhood (marked on the map). I didn't see a car there once the entire month. It has a lot of space to comfortably set up a tripod and have 2 or 3 people with you. Please be respectful of the private property and post-up out of the way off of the property.
The view of the hills from this spot are unobstructed, leading to a nice landscape of the high desert, adobe homes, and big clouds. Even without big clouds you still receive a beautiful sunset view as the lights turn on in the homes on the hills. It's a romantic little spot in the desert.
It's also perfect for astrophotography because it's a dark sky city.
This area just outside of downtown is very peaceful and quiet. Please respect the neighbors. Some of them might even join you if the skies are lighting up.
