Sledding in Red River

Awaken your inner child with an alternative gravity sport!
If you’re looking for an alternative winter activity to indulge your need for gravity sports, you may take the time to rent a sled from Sitzmark’s for $5 and head over to the library to take your chance at reviving your childhood spirit!
Heading to the library at the east end of town, you can find street parking anywhere you please on the main road, directly across the street from the library you will see the hill that is held in high standard by the locals as the sled spot. Head to the other side of the street (south) and cross the green bridge over the river and up the side of the hill you’ll go (I mean side of the mountain!) Another way to access this sled spot is by hiking the in town “Nature Trail”, you can learn more about that trail here. The nature trail sits at the top of the sled hill, it’s easy to spot even in the deep snow, there are signs that indicate the tree life in the area.
This spot also provides great views of the town, and sits next to a horse pasture. An adventure worthwhile!
