A peaceful and easy hike to a wonderful view of the Delaware

Hike a short and easy path up a hill to the Goat Hill Overlook where you'll have a wonderful view of the Delaware River and New Hope, PA. Put 'Goat Hill Overlook' into your maps and you will be led right to the trailhead where you can easily park in the gravel parking lot or on the side of the parking lot in the grass. Follow the wide trail (there are several smaller trails that cut through this main trail) and eventually you will reach the top.

There are picnic benches to enjoy the views while snacking. It is a very family friendly environment.

Parking can be a bit of a hassle during the Lambertville and New Hope fireworks, so plan ahead if you’re heading out then. The trail itself is pretty straightforward—an easy in-and-out walk with a gentle incline. Honestly, it’s probably the shortest hike I’ve ever done! Still, it has its charm. At the end, you’ll get some lovely views of the Delaware and Raritan Canal and the Lambertville–New Hope Bridge. I’ve photographed the fireworks from there before—definitely worth it if you’re into that kind of thing.
