Great spot to take in the view at Scotts Bluff National Monument.
North Overlook Trail is a quick 0.6 mile loop hike at Scotts Bluff National Monument near Gering, Nebraska. The loop is paved, making it good for the whole family, but make sure to keep an eye on the kiddos due to drop-offs and some crumbly footing.
There are also spots to grab a seat on the benches and to read up on the history and geology of this prairie location.
Leashed pets are allowed on paved trails per NPS.gov.

This isn't much of a hike—you drive up the road through the monument and then only end up walking less than 100 feet—but the views are fabulous! Plenty of desert wildlife along the trail as well. Quick, family-friendly hike.
