This moderate day hike features views of Glacier National Park and the North Fork of the Flathead River.
Driving north from Columbia Falls, MT for 20 miles, park after the junction of the Camas Road and the North Fork Road. This parking area is directly after the junction on the east side of the road and the trail begins on the west side of the road.
The beginning of the trail is started with many switchbacks until a ridge is reached. This ridge can be followed for the rest of the hike. The remainder of the hike is a moderate uphill hike to the summit of Glacier View Mountain. The summit provides views of both Glacier National Park and the North Fork Basin of the Flathead Valley. The descent is the same route as the ascent. This hike can be completed in any time of year, but expect snow to be present until late spring and early summer. Snowshoes are recommended in the winter and early spring seasons.
