Description

Added by Payton Bartlett

Woodland Trail Loop is located in Lake of the Ozarks State Park. This is a great beginner backpack trip.

Starting at 850 feet of elevation, this 3.25 mile loop is a great beginner backpacking trip. The trail is fairly rough so a sturdy pair of hiking boots is a must. The trail splits a quarter mile in; you will need to go right. After another quarter mile you will enter the Patterson Hollow Wild Area, where no man made structures are allowed to be built. The backpack camp is 1.75 miles into the hike. It has a campfire pit and some logs for sitting next to it. It should take about an hour and a half of total hike time.

The trail head has a bathroom and a building with all the trail information. Make sure to fill out a registration card at the trail head before starting.
