Presque Isle River Waterfall Trailhead - Search Nearby - Added by Allison Herreid
Hike to three waterfalls on the active Presque Isle River.
This hike combines the East and West River Trails for a scenic hike along the Presque Isle River, which runs through the Porcupine Mountains State Park. The river has strong currents and sections of rapids, as well as three main waterfalls, Nawadaha Falls, Manido Falls, and Manabezho Falls, which measures 25 feet high.
Your hike will include sections of boardwalk, forested trail, and a suspension bridge. Soon after leaving the parking lot, you will cross over the suspension bridge to follow East River Trail. After passing Nawadaha Falls, the third waterfall, you will reach another bridge that links you to West River Trail. Follow West River Trail back to the parking lot.

Awesome day-hike spot.
A great trail for day-hiking. Lots of stairs though, but the views make it worth it!
Great hike with lots of options after.
I have been here a few times, there is something very special about Preque Isle River and the Porkies in general. My favorite part about this waterfall loop is being able to camp on a bluff overlooking Lake Superior, only a short walk.
