Description

Added by Javier Casillas

Piedras Encimadas Valley is a unique place in the state of Puebla. It has countless towers and formations of rocks throughout the valley; it is surrounded by a magical forest and plains filled with fog that make you believe you are in another world. Ideal for camping with the family and enjoy exploring this wonderful valley.

In order to get from the city of Puebla you should take the toll road and follow the detour to Tlaxcala (toll road 117). Once you pass through the city of Tlaxcala, you should take the federal road towards Apizaco, the road will take you to Zacatlán, through Tlaxco. Upon reaching Zacatlán you must drive along state road 119 to Huauchinango; after traveling 12.4 miles there is a deviation to a dirty road for 6.2 miles that will lead to Camotepec and ends at the valley. The distance is approximately 102 miles from Puebla.

To enter the valley, a voluntary cooperation for the maintenance of the place is requested; in case you want to camp you should pay $30 pesos per person and must be done in the camping area. The valley has several services such as typical food area and horse rentals.

A very special place, you can enjoy with your whole family the beauty of the valley and camp safely.
