Dive Ċirkewwa in Malta
Details
Added by Abby Shepard
Be amazed by the reefs, wrecks, and arches in the sparkling Mediterranean at Ċirkewwa on the island of Malta.
Ċirkewwa is a harbor on the northernmost point of Malta, and serves as a popular, and beautiful dive site for beginners and advanced divers alike. Beneath the crystal clear Mediterranean water, you'll find reefs, rock arches, submerged artifacts, and even Rozi Wreck, a sunken tugboat. Many dive centers on the island lead trips to Ċirkewwa, and trips can be adjusted to skill and comfort level. Reefs can easily be seen at a depth of 10m, while the Rozi Wreck is closer to 30m. Divers can enter the water by wading from the rocky shore, or by striding off of a diving platform.
The site is well equipped for divers, and there is a bathroom with free hot showers onsite. A snack shack will often set up in the parking lot to sell sandwiches, drinks, and granola bars to hungry divers.
The site is located directly beside the ferry terminal to the island of Gozo, if you want to hop on the ferry when you're done!
