Thuya Garden is a nice place to stroll around terraces, walking trails and blooming flowers that are often labeled for your own learning and knowledge.

Thuya Garden is a separate portion of a larger preserve.  You can reach this garden by either parking on route 3 heading north a quarter mile past the main entrance or you can park in the actual Thuya Garden lot.  If you park on Route 3, you can enjoy a nice walk through the Maine forest on your way to the Garden.  Do this by crossing the street and heading up a paved path that parallels the road for a short time until heading east.  Follow this until you reach the main garden.  If you park in the main lot, you can access the garden easily from there.

Once you are in the garden, you can follow the various paths around.  In the center, there are garden beds surrounded by green grass.  These beds house various plants and flowers all of which are labeled for your convenience.  If you continue in a north direction, you can follow a more intimate path along various structures and fencing.

This is a nice garden to visit if you have an hour or so to spend with your family.  It can be a nice quiet break from the often busy national park trails.  The garden is free, but the preserve appreciated a donation of five dollars.
