About this place

Added by Outbound

Carpinteria State Beach is a gorgeous and popular location - the sunsets, activity options, and wildlife viewing is simply unbeatable!

Santa Cruz Campground is nestled in Carpinteria State Beach, an easy drive from Santa Barbara, Ventura, or the greater LA area. Over a mile of beach front access allows for swimming, surfing, fishing, tide pool exploration, and picnicking.

There is an abundance of wildlife to see: seals, sea lions, whales, starfish, sea anemones, crabs, snails, octopi, and sea urchins.

Reserve your site before planning your trip. The park is open daily, from 7am to sunset. Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The campsites allow for tent camping and RVs. There are several handicap accessible sites, along with handicap accessible bathrooms, picnic areas, and beach access points. Dogs are not allowed on the beach - but are allowed at the campground and several of the picnic areas.
