2 Days and 3 Amazing Adventures in Southern Utah

Work hard during the week. The weekend is for road trips and hikes. This is how I spent my weekend.

The weekend is here and I can't just sit at home and watch TV or play on the computer or go out and party, that's not my lifestyle. I'm always driving on the road or hiking on the trail, that's how I usually spend my weekends.

This weekend I went to Zebra Slot Canyon in Escalante. Six hours over night driving with coffee is not a big deal for me - I don't stop except for gas. It was 4 in the morning when I got there, it was so quiet and no one else was there. I took a quick nap and woke up at 7, hiked 6 miles and I didn't feel tired at all. Maybe nature is my fuel.

Drove right to Goblin Valley after hiking the Zebra Slot Canyon. It's about three and a half hours, slept over night and got up at 6:30 for the sunrise. There was no one else around, just like the first time I came here.

Another 2 hours driving after the sunrise, to meet my friends in Canyonlands for my second time to hike False Kiva. It was a lot easier than the first time though, easy to find the trailhead and follow the path to the end. After the hike we had a fun time with friends in Horsethief campground - beer, bbq, laughing, life can't gets any better than this.

The trip just finished and I'm already thinking about where to go next weekend!
