Watch the Sunset from Wat Tham Phousi Temple

Rate this Adventure Mount Phousi

Watch an amazing sunset from the top of Mount Phousi after hiking up 355 stairs to the Wat Tham Phousi Temple!

You start out at the bottom of a massive set of 355 stairs, that eventually winds there way to the top of Mount Phousi. Along the way you will see hundreds of statues, buddhas and shrines. At the top, you will see the beautiful temple Wat Tham Phousi and get amazing views of Luang Prabang and surrounding areas, as well as the chance to watch the sunset into the mountains!

I would recommend getting there a little early because it will get crowded.

Hike to Kaeng Nyui Waterfall

Getting There: For me, getting to the trailhead/hike was just as rewarding as the actual waterfall itself.

The best way to experience Doi Pha Tang (a great paired adventure with Phu Chi Fa) is with your own transportation (either a car or motorbike).
