Description
Added by Lucas Bremer
Waterfalls and history combine for a Central Kentucky paradise.
At first glance, Cove Spring Park looks like any normal city park. In reality, it is a waterfall filled, 240 acres nature preserve hiding in plain site of Kentucky's capital city. The property is filled with wetlands, streams, springs, waterfalls, and historic structures that make this a great getaway if in the Frankfort or Lexington area.
Along the parks trail system (6 in total), there are fantastic water views of a branch of the Kentucky River that flows through the preserve. There are ample opportunities to view wildflowers and the parks animals throughout.
A portion of the trail system is accessible to those with disabilities and most are great for families.
There is no charge for this park and there are several picnic tables along the creek and near the main waterfall.

Hike through Cove Spring Park Reviews
Waterfall was right where you park, so it was perfect for me and my 2 year old.
