Capture the beauty and magnitude of some of the Dolomites from any one of the small towns in the area.
The Dolomites in this area are absolutely stunning, and you can pair these massive mountains well in pictures with small towns like Auronzo, Reane, and Misurina. It may be a bit cold, but going in October or later will allow you to see the mountains with some snow sprinkled among the peaks.
If you enjoy more strenuous adventures, there are tons of great hikes in this area including the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Alta Via 4, and Alta Via 5! There are abundant opportunities to get even better mountain landscape pictures on those hikes, so I highly recommend getting out to them while you're in the area!
For more relaxed photography adventures, you can settle in and take pictures at Lago di Misurina or Lago di Braies, the latter of which is about a 45 minute drive from Misurina.
