Hike Kruidenier Trail Around Gray's Lake

Kruidenier Trail around Gray's Lake is a 2.1 mile loop hike that takes you by a river located near Des Moines, Iowa. This trail is the perfect way to explore the landscape and land surrounding Gray's Lake, as it cuts through areas where you can see the lake. The trial is a loop that begins in the park on an asphalt surface and then develops into wider paths as you approach downtown on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. The trail takes you all the way into downtown Des Moines, where there are a variety of activities. Kruidenier trail also offers permanent on-site bike rentals and a concession stand that also offers canoe and paddle board rentals for those who are interested! 

Parking: The park is located on the right-hand side of the street. Look for a sign marked "Gray’s Lake Park entrance." Park near the concession building and pick up the trail from there.
