Camping in Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge with lake views!

Located within Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge and along one of the most scenic lakes within the Shawnee Hills of Southern Illinois Little Grassy Lake Campground is a awesome place to camp for a night or a whole week.

There are 14 full hook up campsites. 54 sites have water and electric access. There are also 35 tent sites along one point of campground. All the sites have picnic tables and fire rings.

There is a swimming beach for campers to enjoy this picturesque lake. Fishing equipment, Kayaks, and Canoes can all be rented at the campground store. There's a dock for boaters who can rent space on an annual basis and the entire shoreline of Little Grassy Lake is undeveloped. There are no houses or commercial developments along this lake.

The lake and campground are just minutes away from Giant City State Park for further adventure. Also, on the south end of the lake is the Panther Den Wilderness Area, with miles of trails for hiking.

Specific information on reserving a campsite or watercraft can be found here.
