The Moose Lake Loop Trail is a scenic circuit that builds on the main Moose Lake Trail by looping through surrounding forested terrain and providing additional viewpoints above the lake. It’s a great option for hikers looking for a slightly longer, more immersive experience in the Cabinet Mountains with less backtracking and more variety.

I agree, with the other reviewer. This was way loger then it says. We did opt to go to Blacktail Lake then up to Moose Mtn, then down to Moose Lake. But miles didnt match either of our phones or watches.

Don’t start down the loop if you aren’t prepared for a long day hike, beautiful scenery all around
