A short hike to a wonderful wild hot springs close to Missoula, Montana.
After parking at the trailhead, follow the well defined trail on the left side of Weir Creek for about half a mile. The trail passes multiple campsites that see heavy use. The trail ends after this short climb at the hot springs. Enjoy the hot water!
Tips:
- After passing Jerry Johnson Hot Springs look for a parking lot around mile marker 141 on Highway 121
- This hot spring is heavily used so try to get there as early as possible and pack out trash
- Practice your LNT: leave this place better than you found it

We were in Missoula and decided to hit these up on a whim. So worth it, beautiful drive in and quick little hike to hit a good soak. The only negative -too busy. The pools aren't that large so go early for a more peaceful soak.

Watch out!
Google maps will point you to exit 66. Unless you have a 4 wheel drive, with good tires do not go during the spring. There is still snow down there. We got stuck and had to walk to find help. Apparently there is a different route to get there at exit 77, or Alberton but we haven’t discovered it yet. Just be safe and well prepared for the drive!

Lots of trash :(
Hey guys, Found a whole lot of trash that wasn't there two years ago today. Let's make sure people are packing out and we are picking up up. Bring an extra bag and pickup some trash if you are go, even the micro trash, small pieces of paper and such!!!

A perfect oasis anytime of year. This hot spring is lesser known than the near by Jerry Johnson hot springs and is much warmer, making it a local favorite. There is also a small two person sized pool above the main one hidden in the trees for more privacy.
