Bonneville hot springs is just one of the many amazing hot springs to check out in the state of Idaho!

...Bonneville hot springs are about 19 miles East of Lowman, Idaho off highway 21. It sits at an elevation of around 4,700 feet. Getting here, you'll take the 21 hwy and will turn onto Bonneville Campground road. You'll drive 0.7 miles before getting to the parking area for the hot springs. They do charge a $5 day use fee, but if you have a National Park pass, you can place that on your dashboard and you won't have to pay the fee. Also, when driving down the dirt road to the springs, you'll pass the Bonneville campsites just to your right. Once you see where the camp host is posted, there's a road that curves to the left. Take that road for maybe 100 feet before parking. Once parked, pay or display your park pass and follow the trail where the trail sign is. The short hike is easy, and is definitely family friendly. The hike overall is about 0.6 miles round trip. Dogs are also welcome, just be sure to have them on a leash and pick up after them.

The higher up you are to the little hot spring runoff, the hotter the pools are. Some of the pools were way too hot for me to sit and enjoy, so I sat in a few of the pools that were closer to the river, and were more tolerable. Other than that, take the short walk to the springs and enjoy the amazing views among the warm spring creek river! Once you're done, you'll head back the same way you came.

As always, leave no trace and live it up!
