Fly Fish Kelly Creek
Clearwater County, Idaho
Description
Added by Radley Peterson
Some of the best wild Cutthroat fishing in the world at this lesser known spot. Follow the Idaho Centennial Trail to get upstream. There's camping at the trailhead and various spots along the Centennial Trail.
If you are looking for world class fishing in Idaho and don't want to deal with the crowds that goes along with Henry's Fork or Silver Creek then this is the spot. You will rarely run into people along this creek. The fishing is extraordinary and you should be able to catch a ton of cutthroat. This creek is catch and release only, if you want to keep what you hook, stop along the North Fork Clearwater just before Kelly Creek and all is fair game. Though Kelly Creek tends to have better fishing. During certain parts of fall try heading down Cayuse Creek, which leads into Kelly Creek. Sometimes you will have better luck in that area. If the fish aren't biting you're still in luck as the Centennial Trail offers superb hiking to pass the time.
