Gold Fork Hot Springs is a hidden gem located in Donnelly, Idaho. It has six pools formed by natural rock and a beautiful scenery of the forest.

It takes almost two hours, when you leave from Boise, Idaho to Gold Fork Hot Springs. You will feel like you’re at a resort without paying the expensive resort fees. You can stay all day, tan on tanning chairs, and relax. I have visited this destination more than a handful of times and I'm excited to go again soon this year.

To get to this spot if coming from Boise, Idaho take West State to ID-55 N in Eagle, Idaho, turn right onto ID-55 N, and follow Davis Creek Ln to Gold Fork Rd/NF-498. When you start to follow Davis Creek Ln it will turn into a dirt road, follow it all the way down until you see a green gate on the left which is where you will turn. You will see a parking area, park there, and you will walk up a gravel road until you see the hot springs.

These hot springs have six different pools that are formed by natural rock and all of the pools have different temperature ranges with the first pool being the hottest at 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The pools are available year-round. They are open Mon-Fri 12pm-9pm and Saturday 12pm-11pm, but are closed on Tuesdays.

There are changing rooms at the Gold Fork Hot Springs and a charge to use the Hot Springs. They only take cash so keep that in mind when you go. I would advise you to go earlier in the day because it can get packed with locals.

Overall, the Gold Fork Hot Spring is an amazing experience with beautiful scenery of the forest and is well worth the drive no matter where you come from.
