Cove Creek Hot Springs

...If you're into hot springs, and want one that's easily accessible, this is a great hot spring that's worth checking out.

Cove Creek Hot Springs is only a 10-minute drive from the town of Stanley. It's not only one of the easier hot springs to get to, but I feel that it's one of the lesser visited in comparison to the many other hot springs in the area. 

When I visited this hot spring, I was the only one there...which I'm not complaining about! The hot spring sits right along the Salmon River, so there's great views of the Sawtooth mountains/forest and you can easily hop into the cold river if you'd prefer. There are only two pools to choose from, but they're both a decent size, and the pool that's closest to the river is more at a comfortable temperature, probably somewhere around 90+ degrees. So that makes it a whole lot easier to sit, relax and enjoy! Also, because of the distance from the highway to the hot spring, it's a whole lot quieter than Boat Box hot springs that's not far up the road. 

Getting there: When you park in the main parking lot, there's a trail (next to the restroom) that'll take you about a couple hundred feet down to the springs. Once you've enjoyed your time in the springs, you'll hike up the same way you came down. There's no trash cans, so pack out what you packed in.
