Photograph Mokoli‘i from Kualoa Regional Park
Kahaluu, Hawaii
Description
Added by Jon Mattrisch
The iconic island, sticking straight out of the ocean off the coast of Oahu, is the perfect photo-op for tourists and residents alike.
Looking for a good photo opportunity while on Oahu? Mokoli‘i is one of the best you can find. Not only is it a scenic and unique view, but you can also have some fun with perspective.
Located only 20 miles from Honolulu, hop on H1 W for about 2 miles before turning onto HI-63 N for 7 miles. Then, merge onto to HI-83 W for about 10 miles before coming to Kualoa Regional Park.
Parking is plenty, so find a spot, grab you camera, and head towards the beach. You can swim, fish, tan, relax and more along the beach. Plenty to do here! Plus, the distance of the small island in the background allows you to take some creative forced perspective shots. Have fun with it and get creative!
