Dive headfirst into multiple limestone caves, kayak the Santa Fe River, and take a nature walk above the spring run. Blue Springs Park is a hidden gem in Central Florida!

Blue Springs Park is a privately owned property that encompasses a few springs along the Santa Fe River, you can learn more here. The main, Blue Spring, has a large swimming area lined with white sand beach. The main feature is a 12ft high platform over the main spring. Since the spring is upwards of 15ft deep, with caves going much deeper, it serves as a safe depth for diving while still being shallow enough towards the beach for small children.

The main attraction, I would say, is the head spring. It has a couple short caves you could easily free dive into. The limestone shelves create for some great underwater scenery and provide the right amount of adventure for a spring that is family friendly as well.

Another great feature of Blue Springs Park is the elevated boardwalk that reaches from the main picnic area next the head spring all the way to the Santa Fe, where the spring runs out into the river. If want to be a little extra adventurous, you can attempt to swim across the river to the rope swing adjacent the boardwalk, the current can be a little strong after heavy rains, so tread with caution!

The park also offers camping, it is an additional $5 on top of the entrance fee, which is $10. They have primitive sights as well as camper hook-ups with running water. The park offers a main bathroom site near the head springs and entrance as well as two other small bathrooms throughout the camping area.

Swim at Blue Springs Park Reviews

great and clean.

We went here to swim and snorkel in the springs. What great little gem. Spring water is crystal clear with lots of fish and turtles to observe. Did not get a chance to kayak or tube, but will definitely be returning to do so. Entry was $6!!! Can’t beat that.
