As Parque Lago is a known wetland, many migratory birds can be sighted. Bird watchers have identifies around 160 different species of birds.

As the water in the reservoir is for agriculture and human consumption and also there are dangers related to the hydric transfer system is important for you to know that the activities in the lagoon can only be practiced with a certified instructor or tour guide. You can´t just go to Parque Lago and get in the lagoon without permission.
