Awesome spot to watch the sunrise. Beautiful beach to swim in. Cool Pirate ship. Lots of trees for Hammocks. Close to Punta Cana.
Just about 15 minutes from Punta Cana, this beach is located in Bavaro. There are resorts and hotels on the beach, so it is touristy, but not as much as Punta Cana. I met a lot of awesome locals hanging out on this beach every day.
The sun rises right out of the water, so it is a great spot to show up to early. It is also an awesome beach to swim at because the sea is really calm. You can hire private boats to snorkel, check out the natural pool in the middle of the ocean, dolphins, seals, and hidden parts of the coastline for just about $20. If you want some great local food just head to the El Cortecito area for some awesome restaurants with good prices. A mototaxi is just about $2.
