Description

Added by The Outbound Collective

Michael Castle Trail is a 12.4 mile point-to-point hike that takes you past scenic views located near Delaware City, Delaware.

This trail welcomes people of all skill levels. It’s mostly flat with just a few inclines and is nicely paved. It’s a relatively wide trail, leaving enough room for multiple walkers, hikers, skaters, or bikers.

It’s the perfect trail for those looking to train long distances, whether running or biking, as the path is both long and flat. The views of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canals are an added bonus as you get moving. Note that there isn’t much provided shade, but there are a number of benches along the way to sit and take a rest. Being by the riverside helps cut the heat too.

The trail is accessible year round. It’s both family friendly and dog friendly, but furry friends must be leashed.
