Walk Manzanillo Beach to Punta Manzanillo

The walk to Punta Manzanillo from Manzanillo Beach is absolutely beautiful. This is the most southern beach accessible near Puerto Viejo.  You can park your car under the palm trees near the beach, just be aware of falling coconuts!!

At Manzanillo Beach the jungle grows right to the waters edge and stretches for as far as the eye can see. There is an easy trail that takes you through the jungle and to the lookout point at Punta Manzanillo. From the lookout point you can see jungle and beaches for miles. There is also a small rock island just off the point. This is a great area to catch the sunset. Just watch your back for waves crashing up and over the lookout point. It's quite high off the surface of the water, but a few waves still managed to spray up and over me as I looked down the coastline.
