Rock Climb Supremacy Rock in Eldorado Canyon
Boulder, Colorado
Description
Added by Brynn Schmidt
Great place to learn to rock climb. Easy top rope set up for climbers. 5.6 - 5.10 short routes. Awesome spot to teach kids to climb. One of most scenic places to climb near Boudler. Colorado state park.
This is a great spot for beginner climbers, as long as you have an experienced climber with you to anchor the top rope and belay you. It is in a beautiful state park, Eldorado Canyon, in Boulder, Colorado. This canyon is famous for rock climbing and attracts climbers from around the country. Many of the routes are highly technical, but this is a great beginner/intermediate spot to set up top rope routes.
Since this is a Colorado state park, there is an entrance fee - $8 per day. It is totally worth it as you can climb, hike, picnic and bring your dog (as long as it is leashed). The area gets crowded so get there early. There is a parking area across from Supremacy Rock near South Boulder Creek - great place to park if there is a spot.
Getting there: From Boulder, take Hwy 93 south to the turn off for Eldorado Springs. Take Hwy 170 through the very small town of Eldorado Spring and you will arrive at the park entrance. GPS Coordinates for Supremacy Rock: 39°55'50.2"N 105°17'27.9"W. The elevation is about 6,000 feet but varies slightly throughout the park.

Classic Colorado climbing destination. There is a fee to get into Eldorado Canyon State Park unless you have a pass. There is not a lot of parking for the amount of people that want to see and climb this beautiful canyon, so get there early.
