The Via Ferrata is an incredible way to enjoy Telluride from above. If you and your group have rock climbing experience this will be right up your alley. If no experience rock climbing there are guided options with great shops from town that will help you along this route.
Hike up to Bridal Veil Falls and take the trail leading towards the Via Ferrata (there are signs). It is recommended to complete the hike from the falls looping back to the parking lot/the town. One way traffic will help keep the experience great for everyone.
The route itself is a mix of cables, rungs, and otherwise normal exposed hiking trails. Gear required includes helmet, climbing harness, carbiners, lobster claw device or for those who are experienced slings with two points of connection. Climbing shoes are not required and the majority of the route you are not even on the rock face or clipped in.
Once completed, there is an old mining road that brings you back to parking lot where you began the day.
