Hiking the Monarch Lake Loop in Granby, Colorado is amazing! If you have older children, this is a great place to take them out on the trial. Perfect weather in August of 50 degrees, You'll started at about 8345 feet of elevation and ended at 8950 feet. This is a very easy-moderate and great hike with children.

The start of the hike is a little limited on views until you reach the southwest shoreline.

Dogs are permitted on this trail on a leash.

Such a great place for sunset! This is a lake that looks like you’d have to hike a long ways to see but its actually one that you can drive to! Because it’s super easy to get to, it does get pretty busy. There is a LOT of parking but it does fill up fast. I highlt recommend coming for sunset to avoid the crowds and also see a pretty stunning sunset on the snow covered peaks in the background.
