Continue your journey in the Tatacoa desert and dive into the grey section that offers rugged landscape and a swimming pool to cool off.
Los Hoyos is a rather easy hiking loop through a river bed, featuring various sights along the way. You can park the car at the Los Hoyos swimming pool and start your hike descending the steps, passing by the pool and continuing into the dried out river bed. Make a left turn and follow the orange markers which lead you the twin tower rock formation and further lookout points. It is advisable to take a picture of the map at the parking lot before leaving.
You will end back on the main road at Estadero Los Hoyos. From here you can walk back to your car along the main road and plunge into the swimming pool that you passed by in the beginning (entrance fee 5000 COP pP).
