5 Reasons to Hire a Photographer to Join You and Your Significant Other on Your Next Adventure

Forget the selfie stick. Adventure sessions are the new city breaks and you should definitely consider one for your next adventure!

Have you ever been somewhere that took your breath away and wished that you could have more than just a selfie capturing you and your partner in this awesome place?

My husband and I are both adventurers and photographers, but we hardly ever have pictures of the two of us together unless we carry a tripod with us and set the camera up on a timer. But that doesn't always work out how we want it to, like this time below when we just missed the killer sunrise light because we were too busy setting up the shot and then the clouds rolled in.

As an adventure wedding photographer, I often accompany couples to awesome locations on their wedding day, but I really believe that you shouldn't be restricted to only getting incredible pictures of yourselves if you're getting married. It doesn't matter what stage you are at in your relationship, everyone deserves to have beautiful pictures of themselves to hang on their walls at home.

So here are 5 reasons why you should book an adventure session and take a photographer with you on your next adventure:

1. You'll be able to capture your adventure from start to finish with pictures of the two of you together.

2. You can get pictures that are authentically you. Maybe artisan coffee shops are your thing, but if you're happier getting dirty outdoors, then why not embrace that.

3. It's a great way to celebrate your relationship, whether you're celebrating an anniversary, an engagement or just simply because you want to.

4. You'll get shots that you could never have captured on your own. There's only so much you can do with a selfie stick or a tripod.

5. You can wear whatever you like. Some couples choose to dress up in formal outfits for a bit of fun, but if you're more comfortable in activewear, that looks great too.

Want some inspiration? Here are a few of my favourite adventure sessions from this summer:
