Photograph the Toronto Skyline from Polson Pier
Toronto, Ontario
Description
Added by Thomas Ostapchuk
The closest and most easily accessible spot to photograph the Toronto skyline.
Polson Pier has a small park at the very end near the nightclub that is ideal for taking dawn/dusk and night photos of the city. There is no parking along the street leading to it, so park at the T&T Supermarket on Cherry St., then walk down Polson st.

Head down to the Toronto Windsurfing Club at Cherry Beach to join sailors any day of the week for a cruise along the waterfront. Ice Skate in the Heart of Toronto
A popular activity during the winter for many locals and tourists alike, ice-skating in Nathan Phillips Square is right of passage for any tourist visiting Toronto. It only costs money to rent skates, the ice-rink is open to the public between November and March, weather permitting. It's a wonderful attraction right in downtown, don't miss it if you're visiting Toronto! Check the website for da...
Explore Toronto Island
Explore Toronto Island and find yourself in a small island community with amazing views of downtown. Follow the paved pathway that leads past small homes and to a beach on the other side of the island. To get to the island, you'll take the ferry from The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (the ferry docks), located between Bay Street and Yonge Street on Queens Quay for a small price.

Hike the Mount Nemo Conservation Area Loop
This is probably one of my all-time favorite short hikes to do in Ontario during the fall. The hikes takes you to a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Niagara Escarpment that is blazed with fall colors. This family-friendly lookout trail should provide a very little challenge for older family members and young children. Once you park your car at the main parking lot, walk a short way up and yo...
Hike the Limehouse Conservation Area Loop
This CA is home to history and nature. When entering the trail and heading left at the first fork, you are later greated by "hole in the wall" where the trail descends into a lime stone crevace. Allowing you to explore the rock will hiking along the trail. Continuting the the far left of the propery, you will find a charming stream (where I cooled my feet), and then the monuments of the old kil...
