Description

Added by Tara Stamnes

A quiet, breezy, oceanside walk.

One of Surrey's hidden gems, head down to this short trail down a set of stairs that will take you to an uninhabited beach.

The zig zagged steps take you down to the Birlington Rail Lines and you can walk along a trail to an opening under the tracks. Head to the beach from here where you will likely see Blue Herons and Harbour Seals catching fish or sunbathing on the rocks.

Though the number of stairs may seem intimidating, this path is easy and a perfect walk for after work or an early morning jaunt.

Walk the 1001 Steps Trail Reviews

I walked from the Christopherson steps and up the 1001 (there really aren’t that many steps). It’s a rocky beach with nice views. Watch out for the occasional nude sunbather.
