Perhaps the best view of Lake Louise, and eliminates most of the crowd
This is a fairly steep, short hike that gives you a great view of Lake Louise. The hike begins right behind the canoe rental shop on the South side of the lake. The trail is very easy to follow and there are quite a few people that hike it. The hike is an hour and half round trip.
The hike leads you up to a stunning view of Lake Louise. You end at a wood viewing tower. You can go past the tower, but there are signs that look frightening that say that the trail is dangerous. If you are decent at hiking, don't worry about the sign. If you keep going, you lose the crowd and if offers a great place to put up a hammock.
Unfortunately, there are always a billion people at Lake Louis. If you want to get away from the crowd, this is a great option!
