Description

Added by Kyle Frost

A short (and steep!) hike to a great view of Lillooet and the surrounding mountains.

The trail starts on a gravel road going up towards a water tower. A doubletrack trail takes off to the right and up the hill as you near the water tower. Take the this trail and this can be followed all the way up to the red rock view point. There are several, steeper, narrower trails branching off the doubletrack as you gain elevation that all head in the same general direction. Some of these are more direct, but definitely steeper.

Hike to Red Rock Lookout Reviews

Completed on a very hot day. No bear sightings but we did see a grouse hanging out part way through. There are a few shady spots for breaks closer to the top but do be prepared with sun screen and water. The view of the top is well worth it.
