Take the short walk around this loop to witness the world's third largest tree!

The trailhead starts at the back of the parking area, a sign will direct you.

This short yet beautiful walk will lead you past amazing sights. Starting counter clockwise you will quickly pass the Fallen Monarch. Feel free to walk inside this massive fallen tree. As you continue you soon reach General Grant, the third largest tree in the world! You can walk all around it, be sure to stay behind the wooden fence! Further on you will reach the remains of the Gamlin Cabin, take a step inside and imagine what life must have been like.

The trail offers several informative panels, all worth the read.

I came here thinking I’d be disappointed but my god let me tell you. It’s a whole other world up there. I recommend getting up there at night. Just to avoid all the traffic on the way up.

General Sherman Tree gets a lot of love, but this grove is amazing. I may be way off, but it felt like the trees were bigger, older, and more congregated here.
