This trail is well traveled, so go early! It's a bit of a workout straight off the bat with decent elevation. There are two different paths you can choose from about 1/4 of the way up or so. If you go to the right, it's more scenic. Stay on the path, and I find it to be a bit steeper. There is some tree cover to the right, though not much.

A little longer trail at 4.8 miles and a 1200ft elevation gain, its definitely intermediate. However, the path stays pretty wide for the most part and it is nice to pause and look around. Partial shade, street parking is easy and can be fairly windy and colder at top. Also, there’s a cool winery at the next door to celebrate at the end!
